At Watmos, we understand that life does not always go to plan and that your circumstances may change.  

If you tell us about your circumstances, we will try to put things in place to make it easier and more comfortable for you to communicate with us and access our services. 

How we can help you 
If you have any kind of support need, please let us know and we will try our best to meet your needs when we contact you or provide services.  

The following is a list of examples of the types of things you might want to tell us about. It might be about how we communicate with you, or it may be to tell us about an illness, disability or other personal circumstances than means some types of repairs are needed more urgently or you need us to communicate with you in a particular way.

This might be something that is permanent or something that is temporary and affecting you now. 

The list does not cover everything so please don’t hesitate to tell us about something that is not listed below.  

We will try to meet the support needs of our customers. However, if this isn’t possible, we will do our best to work with you to find another solution. 
Examples of things you may want to tell us about include: 

Poor eyesight

  • I need letters in a bigger font size 
  • I prefer verbal communication 

Mobility difficulties requirements

  • I need extra time to reach the door  
  • I need extra time to answer the telephone  
  • Please visit me at home  

Difficulty hearing requirements

  • Knock loudly when visiting  
  • Speak loudly on the phone  
  • I prefer written communication  
  • I need to use a hearing loop  
  • I lipread, please face me when speaking  
  • I use a British Sign Language interpreter     

Learning difficulties or disabilities requirements

  • Please provide a coloured overlay for written communications  
  • I prefer verbal communication  
  • My speech may be affected, so give me time to answer  
  • Be understanding, as my behaviour/mood can change quickly  

Mental Health requirements

  • Signpost to support services   
  • Schedule appointments at times that work best for you  

Other requirements

  • I struggle with literacy  
  • English is not my first language  
  • I may have someone with me for support  
  • Please arrange meetings in accessible areas due to mobility issues  
  • Please send emails or letters instead of verbal or face-to-face communication  
  • I have a health issue or disability – please tell us more about your situation
